Organic Pumpkin Seeds (Pepitas)
What is it?
Originally a favourite in Mexican cooking, now used all around the world. Also known as 'Little seeds of squash' or Pepitas, they are the dried seeds of the pumpkin. A delicious and nutritious seed.
What are the nutritional benefits?
Full of nutrition, they are a wonderful source of protein and iron. They are a great source of vitamin E and B vitamins as well as plenty of important minerals such as magnesium. Low in fat and calories.
Where can I use them?
Delicious and crunchy when roasted with paprika and a sprinkle of salt as a moorish snack, add them to baked scones with cheese, add them to cereal bars, cookies and to granola. They have a sweet and subtle nutty flavour.
