What is it?
A great all purpose flour.
Stoneground organic wholemeal wheat flour is a flour produced by the traditional process of grinding grain between two millstones. The process leaves the wheatgerm more intact than roller processes for producing wholemeal flour, the larger pieces of bran and other components of the grain cause it to have a coarser texture but greater flavour.
What are the nutritional benefits?
High in carbohydrates, higher in fibre than white flour. Made from whole wheat.
Where can I use it?
It is ideal for baking and bread making. Compared to all-purpose flour, wholemeal flour makes baked goods dense and coarser in texture.
Anything important?
No chemical bleaching. No alcohol treatment. No additives. No anti-bacterial or anti-fungal agents. No bromate added. Certified organic.
