Organic Coconut Flour
Organic Coconut Flour
A gluten-free alternative that's growing in popularity
Loved by those following a paleo diet - it's deal for use in gluten and starch free recipes.
What is it?
Mild tasting soft flour made from dried and ground coconut meat.
What are the nutritional benefits?
Rich in dietary fibre, protein and healthy fats - low in sugar. Known to help with digestive health and to aid in metabolism. Low in sodium.
Where can I use it?
Commonly used in sweeter cooking - you can add to smoothies and desserts, use as a thickening agent in sauces and gravies. Use in recipes that call for a more dense texture. Different to other flours in that a little goes a long way. Wonderful texture and flavour enhancer.
Anything important?
It's a very absorbent flour - it soaks up moisture like a sponge! It needs to be mixed well before using as it's texture means it's prone to clumping. Wheat-free. Vegetarian. No chemical bleaching. No alcohol treatment. No additives. No anti-bacterial or anti-fungal agents. No bromate added. Certified organic.
