Why buy organic certified food? What does organic certified actually mean?

Here at Family Pantry we love learning what is involved in organic horticulture and the practices and principles behind it. We offer a great range of organic certified foods because we care about the food we eat, how it has been grown and we want to take an active part in looking after Mother Earth - and we know you do too!

In the following article we are highlighting some of the principles and methods that are used in organic farming, as well as why it is so important to support organic horticulture and agriculture. For further reading about a nationwide survey of foods sold in New Zealand see below link to the New Zealand Diet Study (NZTDS). This study surveys a range of common foods consumed in a typical diet to assess New Zealanders' exposure to certain chemicals, such as agricultural compounds, contaminants, and nutrients.
