What is it?

The Raw Manuka Honey MGO 270+ is classed as a medicinal grade and holds the anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties you commonly hear of Mānuka honey. It's deep caramel colour shows the abundance of the Mānuka nectar used to create this honey, making it rich in its medicinal properties.

This honey is great to take daily by the teaspoon; all year round for general health and upkeep but particularly in winter to help with ills & chills. It can also be used as a topical cream or as a hydrating face mask.

We do not recommend using this honey for hot drinks and/or baking & cooking as exposure to high temperatures can kill its medicinal properties.

Where does it come from?

Taste and See's hives diligently produce honey throughout the year at their home sites in the Kaimai Ranges. However, for 4-8 weeks in late summer, when the Kaimai flowers have finished blooming, the hives are moved to Tongariro National Park. This ensures the bees can access a fresh pollen source to create their honey stores for the colder months.

Whilst their honey is not certified organic, their hives are located in pesticide-free areas, ensuring a pure environment for their bees. Nothing is added to their honey and all products are carefully potted in borosilicate glass jars with metal lids, ensuring the contents remain uncontaminated and non-toxic.

Anything important?

100% Raw New Zealand Honey. Slowly and gently heated to 38*C when being creamed, and does not exceed this temperature. This process is repeated for each batch over 3 days to develop a more palatable sized crystal in the honey to keep the unique texture of raw honey but particularly for Mānuka. 

Store in a cool, dry place.

Crystallisation may occur over time.
