Organic Green French Lentils

What are they?

Lentils are an edible pulse from the seed pod of the lentil plant with a warm, nutty flavour. Dietary staple throughout India and the surrounding countries. Green lentils have a more peppery and intense flavour than brown. A versatile hearty staple

What are the nutritional benefits?

Lentils contain high levels of fibre and protein whilst being low in fat and calories. They also contain folate, potassium and iron.

Where can I use them?

Relatively quick to cook in under 30 minutes, they can be used in a huge variety of dishes such as soups, curries, stews and casseroles. Use them as a meat replacement in chilli's, tacos and veggie burgers. They easily absorb the flavours of the ingredients they are cooked with. They hold their shape better than brown lentils.

Anything important?

Certified organic.
