What are they?

A nutritional superstar! Linseeds are cultivated from the flax plant and are also known as flaxseed.

What are the nutritional benefits?

Known for their multitude of health benefits, they are full of essential fatty acids (omega 6 and 3) which help to build a strong immune system. Good source of fibre, protein, B vitamins and other minerals. Low in calories and fat. Regular consumption of linseeds are said to help control high blood pressure and reduce cholesterol.

Where can I use them?

They have a delicious nutty flavour which adds a dimension to many dishes. Add them to baked goods, salads, soups to your morning cereal or yoghurt. They make a wonderful addition to banana muffins, crispy cheese crackers and smoothies.
