Natural Epsom Salts (Magnesium Sulfate)

What is it?

Natural Epsom salts are a naturally occurring compound of magnesium, sulfur, and oxygen extracted from the earth. Also known as magnesium sulfate, they are named after the English town of Epsom, where they were discovered in natural springs.

Epsom salts differ from table salt as they taste bitter and are not suitable for cooking. They are often used in baths to soothe muscle aches and pains, and in facial scrubs, hair treatments, and gardening.

Dissolving Epsom salts in water can help the skin absorb magnesium ions, which regulate bodily functions such as muscle and nerve function, blood pressure, and inflammation.

How can I use it?

Here are some ways you can use Epsom Salts:

Baths: Add 1-2 cups to warm bath and soak for 20-30 minutes.

Foot Soaks: Add 1/2 cup to a foot spa or tub of warm water.

Facial scrubs: use Epsom salts to make facial scrubs.

Hair treatment: Use Epsom salt to make hair volumizing treatments.

Gardening: Use Epsom salt to grow bigger, sweeter tomatoes and peppers. Use on citrus trees and roses.
