What is it?
A delicate, smooth and buttery nut oil. The Olivado Extra Virgin Macadamia Nut Oil is a cold-pressed oil made with high quality nuts from Queensland, Australia. It is a fine food oil with a unique and delicate taste.
What are the nutritional benefits?
It contains one of the highest levels of monounsaturated fats (84%) amongst all food oils, contributing to a nutritious and balanced diet. It is also very high in natural antioxidants and contains Omega 3 and 6 oils.
Where can I use it?
Macadamia nut oil is fantastic to cook with. It has a buttery and delicate quality and is perfect for high heat cooking (smoke point 210 °C). With its delicate, smooth and buttery flavours, it is perfect for panfrying or using as a butter substitute when baking. Use in pastries and all baked goods, for a delicate, buttery flavour, make omelettes and other egg dishes to lift the texture and taste. Great for sizzling steaks in the pan or on the barbecue.
